Secure Deployment Service for New Customers
RedSeal Systems customers define their security objectives as managing to the needs of their business users, realizing maximum value out of their security investments, prioritizing remediation actions to achieve a strong security posture balanced against the most efficient use of staff time, and setting clear performance metrics. To help our customers achieve these goals, we have developed a two-day training program that combines classroom training with professional services consulting to ensure each user has a sound understanding of the capabilities of the RedSeal SRM solution.
Secure Deployment Services
Secure Deployment is a two-day, onsite training and consulting program designed to rapidly increase the operational knowledge of the new customer. The Day One classroom curriculum addresses the needs of the every day operator, as well as the CSO/CISO, who can benefit from the extensive reporting and trend tracking features. During Day Two, RedSeal delivers consulting services around the specific implementation of the product within the customer's environment.
Day One — Classroom Training
Day One is 4-6 hours (depending on student skills and experience) of structured classroom-style training by a RedSeal SRM certified engineer.
Who will benefit: Anyone who will be a user of the product. Typically this is the line manager and technicians reporting to the line manager who are responsible for daily security tasks.
Benefits of Class: Full operational understanding of SRM, enabling the new user to more quickly realize the full value and benefit from the product.
Day One Curriculum
Day Two — Consulting Services Focused on the Customer's Environment
Day Two is an onsite review of your current implementation of SRM. A RedSeal consultant will work with your team to ensure your product has been installed and optimally embedded to achieve the results you expect from the product. The RedSeal consultant will review how to perform specific tasks and set up reports that address your operational needs and requirements.
Who will benefit: Primary users of the system, typically the line managers and their senior staff members.
Benefits of Class: Advanced knowledge of operational embedding of SRM gained from spending a day with a RedSeal consultant who has seen a large number of customer installations. Additional benefits include:
- Insight into potential network 'holes' that permit untrusted sources to access assets you thought were secure
- Understanding of how network exposures and business exposures combine to erode your security posture
- Remediation options based upon resolving the highest risk vulnerabilities
System Requirements for All Onsite Class Work
Required Student Equipment: Microsoft XP/SP 2+ computer with at least 2 GB RAM memory to run the SRM client and a wireless network card in order to connect with the instructor's system.
Classroom Requirements: Conference or training room with enough desktop space for each student's computer. RedSeal instructor requires desktop space for one standard laptop and neutral wall space or a projector screen. Instructor will bring a projector, a wireless network and a server to support the student environment.
